1954 David Grandison Fairchild died. An American botanist and agriculturalist, he was responsible for introducing many useful plants to the U.S. Author of ‘The World Was My Garden,’ and ‘Exploring for Plants’.

Rootbeer is my all-time favorite sweet treat! We used to use Dad’s Old Fashioned Root Beer with vanilla ice cream and of coure, the foam is the best!

I love root beer, but it’s not very common in the UK. I seem to remember MacD’s used to sell it, but that’s not somewhere I frequent ;-)
