Lets count the Monte Christo!

So I discovered this wonderful sandwich over the weekend and fell in love!
It basically is a ham and cheese sandwich made into French Toast.
Let me know if anyone has any variations.
Bellow is my recipe:
Monte Christo Sandwiches (makes 2)
4 slices white bread
Mayonnaise, as needed
4 slices Gouda or Havarti
4 slices smoked turkey
2 large eggs, beaten
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp unsalted butter
Optional: Powdered sugar
