So I discovered this wonderful sandwich over the weekend and fell in love!

It basically is a ham and cheese sandwich made into French Toast.

Let me know if anyone has any variations.
Bellow is my recipe:
Monte Christo Sandwiches (makes 2)
4 slices white bread
Mayonnaise, as needed
4 slices Gouda or Havarti
4 slices smoked turkey
2 large eggs, beaten
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp unsalted butter
Optional: Powdered sugar

Question of the day:

Are there any other names of this recipe? Would you make it?

Quote of the day:

Until the day when God will deign to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom is contained in these two words,—‘Wait and hope.’  (from The Count of Monte Christo chapter 117)
