I want to give a shout out to a great French restaurant in Birmingham, Alabama;  Chez Fonfon. Did you know it is considered to be one of the top 100 by Gourmet Magazine?

I like this place better than Balthazar’s……that’s saying a lot.
So last week I had the privilege to have a long lunch.  Pictured is a shared starter that T and I had to eat
Country pâté with pork, ham, foie gras and pistachios served with fresh sliced French bread, mini pickles, celery root, radishes, course ground mustard and peppery  arugula.
YUM.
Don’t knock it till you try it!
It’s about the combined flavors and goes great with anything from beer to wine to iced tea!
