Found in the Gulch district of Downtown Nashville sits a restaurant that is making it’s mark on the city of music, Watermark.

This hip establishment set inside a converted one-story warehouse is a treat to the eye as well as the gullet. I do not believe I have seen an establishment with such honest understated elegance in a long time. The contrast of raw brick, warm grays, and soft seating works like a charm.
Beyond the design being wonderful, let me get to the food, the real purpose of the place right?
Wonderful!  Fresh seasonal fair.
The menu had a great variety of offerings.  Ambitious appetizers with seared Foie Gras with grilled apples and pumpkin seed nougatine,  Beef carpaccio with horseradish cream and spicy greens, a roasted pumpkin soup with mascarpone, anise and basil oil. Yum!
My next posts, The rest of my wonderful meal at Watermark and trip to Nashville.
