National Banana Bread Day, February 23
Just the thought of banana bread makes me swoon.
Bananas are one of my favorite fruits and bread is one of my favorite sources of carbs. When these two combine, their love child is a moist and sweet cake like bread that is wonderful year round.
The key to the success of this bread is using over ripe bananas that mash easily. Some recipes call for nuts in the batter and some even throw in chocolate chips. I don’t like mine all dolled up. How do you like yours?
