Did you know that Coca Cola comes from the use of coca and kola? Originally intended as a patent medicine when it was invented in the late 19th century by (Doc) John Pemberton, Coca-Cola was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coke to its dominance of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century.

- If all the ‘Coca-Cola’ ever produced were flowing over Niagra falls at its normal rate of 1.5 million gallons per second instead of water, the falls would flow for 38 hours and 46 minutes!
- The Northern Territory has the highest per capita consumption rate of ‘Coca-Cola’ in the world – 529.7 for total ‘Coca-Cola’ Company products.

Coca Cola is definitely my elixir of choice. I know in Hong Kong, they heat coco cola until it’s really hot and serve it with lemon in winter (very restorative)

Something I never drank – after our chemistry teacher showed us what it did to a tooth over 2 days, The tooth disappeared in front our eyes. Put me of for life time. Still a outstanding article and fantastic re-search, John.

Gosh, it’s amazing how much waste all mass produced foods make. One of the great things about having a garden. At least you know where your food came from. Seed to plant to table. If only the world was more like that

Great facts. It’s really very shocking and disgusting how much environmental waste a drink that not only we don’t need but is actually very bad for you makes. If people stop drinking it they can always market as a cleaner.
