Coffee Cake

The term coffee cake can refer to either of the following: * A class of cakes intended to be served with coffee or for similar breaks and snacks. Under this definition, a coffee cake doesn’t need to contain coffee. They are typically single layer cakes that may be square or rectangular like a stolen. Coffee cakes are typically flavored with cinnamon, nuts, and fruits. These cakes sometimes have a crumbly or crumb topping called Streusel and/or a light glaze drizzle. Blueberries are a fruit that may be added as an ingredient to this baked good, for example one might hear the phrase “blueberry coffee cake”.
